UNION TRUST STEAKHOUSE TO BE UNVEILED SATURDAY, FEB. 7 WITH INVITATION-ONLY
VIP PARTY

On Saturday, local restaurateurs Ed Doherty and Terry “TW” White will unveil
Philadelphia’s Union Trust Steakhouse with a red carpet opening gala. The
party comes after more than $12 million in renovations to the historic 717
Chestnut Street bank building over the last year. Photo-ops include
celebrity guests, the soaring 65-foot restaurant and the arrival of a bottle
of rare Louis XIII Black Pearl cognac via Brink’s armored truck. There are
only 358 bottles in existence around the world.

WHAT
Invitation-only opening gala for an estimated 1,200 of the region’s most
influential, including celebrity guests, athletes, politicos, media and
business leaders.

WHEN
Saturday, Feb. 7, 6 pm – 10 pm

At 7 pm, a bottle of Louis XIII Black Pearl will arrive via Brink’s armored
truck and be escorted into the restaurant by armed guards. Union Trust is
one of only a handful of select restaurants in the world with a bottle of
the rare, limited-edition cognac, which will retail for $1,500/oz. (roughly
one shot). The decanter is hand-blown Baccarat crystal. Union Trust paid
$32,000 for the Louis XIII Black Pearl.
